CHRISTMAS

Never will I forget the day he was born

starlight glittering on Christ laying bare

he came to a cruel world, it’s love was torn

hatred and ignorance everywhere

he grew up to make his father proud

taught people how to believe and love

his long white robe, white as a cloud

a walking symbol of peace , such as a dove

tormented and shamed for spreading the word

yet Gods word he carried on

his words meaningful, the best ever heard

golden as true, sparkling as dawn

I wonder now this Christmas day

who really knows what it is about

still today greed slips the meaning away

yet I love him without a doubt

remember the true spirit of Christmas

don't forget the first five letters CHRISTmas
